During our Adult Summer Reading Program, June 1-30, 2021, Tails and Tales, and in support of our local Knox County Humane Society and Knox County Animal Shelter, the Public Library of Mount Vernon will be collecting specific items to benefit the shelter dogs and cats who are awaiting a forever home. You may drop off these items at either the Main Library or any of the branch locations and they will be donated to the Humane Society or the Animal Shelter at the end of SRP.
At the Knox County Humane Society, they are accepting ONLY the following:
**Purina Cat Chow- Blue bag
**Purina Kitten Chow- Yellow bag
Any type canned cat food
Any type cat litter
Any cat toys
At the Knox County Animal Shelter, they are accepting ONLY the following:
Dog leashes
Dog collars
Dog toys
NO FOOD IS NEEDED
