Sunflower Family Festival

The Sunflower Family Festival offers an occasion to celebrate the end of summer in southern Rhode Island, and to honor the hopes, culture, and traditions of Ukraine and its people, as well as Ukrainian Independence Day (August 24th). Consistent with its sunflower motif and family focus, the Festival is keyed to themes of hope and vibrant celebration, sharing the positive vision of a Ukraine free and at peace. Come enjoy live music, food, sunflower crafts, kids' activities, face painting, contests, prizes, Ukrainian folk dance instruction, and more. Live music will be provided by the New York based Korinya Folk Band, and Jamestown musicians Matt and Judy Bolles and their group, "Round Robin."
The event has been made possible in part by a Rhode Island Foundation Community Grant. Admission is free. Proceeds from a raffle and donations will support war-displaced children in Ukraine.
