Former BBC New Generation Artists, the Galliard Ensemble is established as one of Britain's leading wind groups, and has an expansive repertoire. Ludwig Thuille was a student of Richard Strauss who held a high opinion of Thuille's Sextet, perhaps the most well-known of his substantial output. Director of Music Simon Callaghan joins the Galliards in a colourful programme combining the Thuille with other classic works for the ensemble.
