Performance storytelling is a tradition older than New England. It's different from reading aloud or giving a lecture on a topic - there is a personal connection between the teller and listener. Carolyn Stearns will bring this type of spell-binding performance to a special program featuring tales from three eras of American history. "The House Women Built" is from the Revolutionary War, the "Lost Fleet" is from the Civil War, and "Come Home" is from World War I. Ms. Stearns has honed these stories to perfection as she's performed them before many school, cultural, and community groups.
