Fairytales for grown ups and Myths for kids at this 3 day storytelling festival in the beautiful village of Bowland Bridge near Kendal and Windermere.
Spellbinding storytelling, campfires, puppet shows, pop up theatre, folk and world music, storywalks through the valley, late night silent disco, guided fell running, singing, drumming and crafting workshops, loose parts play, ceilidh, kids tents, toddler play, yoga, meditation by the babbling beck and more.
Welcome to the second Stealing Thunder Storytelling Festival. From 2nd-4th June, a small green site in the beautiful Lake District village of Bowland Bridge will become a welly-boot-ique festival of wonder. Enter a world of playfulness, epic stories and wild enchantment... and the occasional sheep.
Stealing Thunder Storytelling Festival is a formidable collaboration between Cumbria‘s own Stealing Thunder, MoreMusic, Crick Crack Club, Kendal Mountain Book Festival and Super Great Kids’ Stories.
Festival includes camping, delicious food, great coffee and (of course) a bar.
Shows from Transglobal Underground stars TUUP and Sheema Mukherjee, Lakes fell runner Julie Carter, Arthur Ransome's great nephew, renowned storyteller Hugh Lupton, and Rock n Roll storytelling street band, Pandvani108 and many more.
Plus music from Sitar player extraordinaire Sheema Mukherjee, Scandi-folk duo Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer, Swedish singer Kersti Ståbi.
Workshops with RagTagArts, MoreMusic, Festival of Light, MagicalStoryJars and Lakeland Arts.
