Join us for a very special evening featuring master singer/percussionist Edgardo Cambon! Originally from Uruguay, Mr. Cambon has been blessing the Bay Area for over three decades with his musical talent. The concert features all original, rarely performed music that has been specifically prepared for the group. Also included in the evening is an authentic presentation of the Uruguayan Candombe rhythm with the original drums. It will be a very unique experience indeed!

Mr. Cambon is that rare musician who excels at the highest level both as a vocalist and percussionist. Experienced at many forms of Latin Music, he has a profound impact on the Bay Area music scene. He is the founder and visionary of the group Candela which has delighted audiences for many years. In addition, he has performed and toured throughout South America, Europe, Africa, working with likes of Jesus "Chucho" Valdes, Eddie Palmieri, Carlos Santana, and Jose Luis "Changuito" Quintana. As a composer, Edgardo has been commissioned by the 2006 Latin Grammy winners "PMO" to write original works, and his free Latin Percussion educational Youtube videos have reached millions of viewers worldwide.

The event takes place at Stanford's Dinkelspiel Auditorium on the Stanford campus on Saturday, May 28 at 7:30 PM. Advance tickets are available online for USD 18 general/USD 13 students and seniors.
