Living History Weekend by the Friends of the Washington County Rural Heritage Museum. 
The non-profit is dedicated to the preservation of the heritage of early Washington County.  Saturday provides you with memorable experiences and lots of photo opportunties of kids participating in an early Maryland Potato Harvest with draft horses. Stroll through the 1800 Rural Maryland Village and enjoy living history interpretations by artisans about their trades and Civil War camp life. If you are into antique trucks and tractors there will be large exhibits outdoors for you to enjoy.

9AM- Period Gardens Open (Medicinal in the Rural Village & 4 Square at the Homstead)
9AM- Craft Show opens - Wooden Hand-Made Cane & Walking Stick making demonstration
9AM- 1800 Rural Village Opens- Hear about the 1790's Glass Family Log Home History, Hand Forging, Broommaking,
10AM - 11 AM Kids Potato Picking Registration
10AM - 2PM  Face Painting by Pixie Dust Creations
10AM - 4PM Antique Truck & Tractor Show (Live Country Music)
10AM - Museums Open for Self-Guided Tours, Kids Scavenger Hunts(Museum 1)
11AM - Draft Horse Plowing Demonstration
11AM- Potato Chip Making Demonstration - Free samples while they last!
11AM - Noonish Kids Potato PIcking Contests ( Kids get to keep their bucket of potatoes)
12:15-12:30 Winners Announced  ($300 in Gift Card Prizes - Bonnie's at the Red Byrd, Family Farm & Home, Potomac Street Creamery, Nora Roberts Book Store)
Noon - Gift Shop Opens - Museum 1
