David Mueller will help you sort out the nuts and bolts of sound design principles in traditional art.
Saturdays January 13 - March 16, 2024; 9:00am -12:00 Noon, Set-up 8:30am (this is a 10-week course, with 8-weeks of instruction and two weeks of independent study, with homework to be reviewed and discussed with the instructor)
This course is an on-going developmental progression that takes a student from where they are to renewed technical skills and greater ability to express their own creativity. Students will understand the significant worth of design, rendering the form, balance, hard edges, and soft edges. These elements are normally presented in much longer study but for the Cincinnati Art Club this course is a variation of Mueller's larger teachings. David states, “Sophisticated Fundamentals: The value of Values...a tonal approach, is taking one primary aspect of what I believe essential in traditional fine art and will offer this as a first phase of learning. There will be others to come.”
No matter the artist’s medium, technique or style, these principles are easily recognized as the foundations of quality artist’s work, whether they are highly refined or impressionistic in their approach. And regardless of where you are at in your own art evolution, they can be utilized effectively in your art today.
There is a PREREQUISITE for this course which is to view Mueller's on-line video
