Somerset County Show 2023

A Great Day Out for all the family at Taunton Racecourse
The Somerset County show is designed to showcase the very best Somerset has to offer, with the emphasis very much on participation and community involvement. Held over both days of the weekend 16th & 17th September 2023 there is a full programme of displays and attractions, with something for all the family.

PONY RACING
All the fun of a horse race, but in miniature.  The Somerset Mini Grand National is one of the highlights of the Somerset County Show.

DOG ACTIVITIES
For Dog lovers, there is a fun dog show and dog activity zone, training demonstrations and fun pet scurry. Bring your dog on a lead and please join in.

BRITISH SCURRY/SHETLAND PONY RACING
Fast, furious and fun. Executing an obstacle course against the clock with ponies of all heights, shapes and sizes and with single and team turnouts

CLASSIC CARS
If you own a classic or vintage vehicle, we would be pleased to include you in the rally, download an entry form and be part of the action. download entry form from our website www.somersetcountyshow.co.uk

LIVE MUSIC
If you sing or are in a band get involved in the Community Stage hosted by local radio station Tone FM and Richard Huish College music team and get your chance to perform in public.

COUNTRYSIDE AREA
Country pursuits are well represented with gun dog demonstrations, have a go dog area, ferret racing and falconry, Pig tent ,Pygmy goats , Alpaca Village ,Owl display and Mini Zoo . Children are invited to meet the beagles and hounds in the main arena.

ARTISAN STALLS
For those in need of retail therapy local artisan stall holders will be in attendance offering a vast array of goods and produce, which are not available on the High Street!

FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL
For the foodies there is a food and drinks court and street food areas with local artisan producers, Cooking competitions, Cookery Demonstrations hosted by Celeb Chef Lesley Waters with many other award winning chefs taking part and a Cider and Beer festival to enjoy.
