Delivering Rooftop vibes aplenty with special guests and Handson Family playing the best in Black music past present and future, Free Entry up on the roof at The CLF Art Lounge and Roof Garden.

HANDSON FAMILY

Local South London husband and wife team, Handson Family (Cyndi Anafo and Chris Ellis) have been DJing and promoting primarily independent music in the capital primarily for over two decades.

Passionate about  South London's legacy of Black music club culture and the community they were raised in, HF have turned their hands to many creative ventures beyond DJing including sound creation, booking artists, client tailored events,  running pop up spaces and social media content management. 

You know they got Soul!

PATRICK STEELE

London based vinyl collector, promoter, broadcaster and BBE Store resident DJ Patrick "2 Funky" Steele has been part of the city's music scene since the mid 80's, where he soon gained a reputation for playing a diverse selection of music and was a member of the original soul collective Confunktion playing many large, underground, sell-out parties.

Patrick is a regular guest at many nights such as Jazzfunksoul, Househuntin', Pret a Couter, and Makin-Moves, and several sets on the widely acclaimed sound system at Spiritland in Kings Cross. His sound has taken him abroad to various festivals both at home and around Europe including Soul in the Algarve (Portugal), Vocal Booth (Spain) the Cork Jazz Festival (Ireland) and Suncebeat in (Croatia).

PETE MELLO

Pete Mello has also been resident for 9 years @ one of London's ongoing successful soul nights called Remember The Times (RTT) and also currently successfully runs his own "All Things Soulful" Brand/Club night at various venues across london, now in its 10th event over the last two years.

Pete has played on and managed several radio stations in the past where " The Music of Soul Origin Radio Show" was developed in 2010 with The original selection of "all things soulful" from Boogie to Soulful and Deep House, Boogie,Independent-Nu Soul, Jazz-Funk, Broken Beats and Rare Groove.

VANESSA FREEMAN (DJ SET)

Singer, songwriter and exceptional performer Vanessa is one of the most exciting black females voices to the hit the UK in recent years and destined to be added to the pantheon of singers credited to the 'Nu Soul' movement alongside Erica Baddu, Angie Stone and Peven Everet with her first solo album entitled Shades on Chilli Funk Records. Influenced by the likes of Dee Dee Bridgewater, Mahelia Jackson and Curtis Mayfield, Vanessa's voice is an experience to behold, immediately distinctive, unadulterated quality, sheer joy. Her live performances are spiritual, recordings timeless and her songs sublime.
