Due to popular demand, Arundel Castle is delighted to announce that two Plant Fairs will take place in the castle grounds again this year, a Spring Plant Fair on Sunday 23rd April and a Summer Plant Fair on Sunday 2nd July.
Organised by a collective of specialist nurseries, Plant Fairs Roadshow provide a unique opportunity for gardening enthusiasts to discover a wide range of locally grown, garden-worthy, and often unusual plants. Visitors can purchase plants directly from expert growers and receive free advice from the growers and the event's resident Plant Doctor. Many of the exhibitors will also be at RHS Chelsea Flower show this year.
Nurseries attending the Spring fair include Beaver Plants, Chailey Iris Garden, Clare’s Chillies, Daisy Roots, Long Acre, Miles Japanese Maples, No Name Nursery, Pelham Plants, Pineview Plants, PlantBase, Rose Cottage Nursery, Swallowfield Nursery, and Zophian Nursery.
"The Plant Fairs provide a wonderful opportunity for visitors to explore the castle's beautiful gardens and grounds while also discovering new and exciting plants to enhance their garden,” said Martin Duncan, Head Gardener at Arundel Castle. “No matter whether they’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, the fairs offer something for everyone.”
Tickets to the Plant Fairs, gardens and grounds are available at www.arundelcastle.org. Entry is £14 per adult, £6.50 per child. Plant Fair only tickets can be purchased at £5 per person on the day. Children under five years old can enter for free.
