The Sacramento Choral Society & Orchestra performance of Giuseppe Verdi's choral work "REQUIEM" on March 21, 2020, has been cancelled because of COVID-19.
Event Postponed to 2021! The Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra will be presenting Verdi's Requiem at the newly refurbished Sacramento Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 8 p.m., with an introduction to the piece by Conductor and Musical Director Dr. Donald Kendrick at 7 p.m., just prior to the performance. It is presented in Latin with English subtitles projected over the stage.
The performance is dedicated to the memory of Sacramento restaurateur Biba Caggiano, as the city of Sacramento celebrates "Biba Day."
World-class soloists include: Othalie Graham, Soprano; Linda Baird, Mezzo Soparano; Robert Breault, Tenor; and Malcolm MacKenzie, Dramatic Baritone.
