Arizona based sculptor David Knorr is pleased to announce his one-person exhibition, Scenic View. This exhibit is inspired through travels and explorations, discovering the beauty and spirit of the lands many take for granted. Taking the opportunity to spend time in many of these sacred lands, David has had the opportunity to study the unique creation of numerous Spires and HooDoos. With the lifting of the tectonic plates, the sedimentary deposits from the ocean and winds, along with the cap deposition caused by volcanic activity, these layers are defined. With the passing of time, many of these layers have been exposed for study and celebration. With David's artistic perspective, he sees positive and negative spaces, revealing the life once trapped within the earth. David also celebrates the surface which show the erosion and patina of time. The Scenic View sculptures explore these influences, some look figurative, some show their age, others reveal their own experience. David is delighted to hear that viewers have seen personal and unique references within his sculptures, and he encourages the viewer to find their own relationship within the art.
