On Saturday, April 30th, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, the Scarsdale Uniformed Fire Fighters Association (UFFA) will be hosting a "Fill the Boot" fundraiser and community fun-day in Scarsdale Village benefitting Hunters CMT4B3 Research Foundation, a non-profit organization that funds groundbreaking research to develop a life-saving gene therapy and treatments for children living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease type 4B3 (CMT4B3). Senator Shelley Meyer and Assemblywoman Amy Paulin will attend the event.
Throughout the "Fill the Boot" event, dedicated firefighters will hit the streets with boots in-hand to collect donations to benefit the organization's research projects. The family-friendly community fun-day will also feature food trucks, a live DJ, balloon twisters, magicians, fire trucks, face painting, cotton candy, carnival games, raffle/silent auction, and a bake sale.
