Santa Claus Conquers the Martians

The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is proud to announce that we are having an out of this world Christmas! Our production of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians adapted to the stage by Mark Landon Smith. can be seen December 3 and 10th at 7:30 PM, and December 4, 5, 11, 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM here at the Playhouse, 1800 S. Main St. Broken Arrow, OK. Tickets are on sale now. Purchase yours by calling our Box Office 918-258-0077 10:00AM to 2:00PM Tuesday through Friday. Ticket prices are $22 for Adults, $20 for Seniors 60+, Child/Students through college and Military both active and veterans. A $2 discount per ticket for groups of ten or more. Masks and social distancing are required inside the playhouse.

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is the stage adaptation of a 1964 B movie of the same name. The children of Mars are in trouble! Too much Earth television has made Martian kids everywhere distracted and withdrawn. The leaders have had enough and consult with an 800-year-old Martian sage for an answer- the response? Kidnap Santa and force him to set up a toy factory on Mars. It's up to young Betty and Billy to help Santa escape back to planet Earth in time to save Christmas, but not before they bring laughter, joy, and the Christmas spirit to the children of Mars. Based on one of the "Top 10 Worst Christmas Films Ever Made" this hysterical stage adaptation of the Cult Classic Film is a baffling mixture of sci-fi, Christmas cheer, and childish slapstick live and on stage!  Author Mark Landon Smith had this to say: "I have been a fan of this 1964 film for decades and thought, "What fun to write a parody of a film which is practically a parody of itself." We are pleased to welcome director Mollie McBride-Rogers to the BACP, Mollie has directed many productions for Sand Springs Community Theater for the past six years. Her educational background and work experience are sure to make Santa Claus Conquers the Martians a must-see production this year!  She has assembled a talented cast of both veteran actors and newcomers to the stage. The cast includes Amy Batman, Bart Batman, Jacob Bush, Jon-Ray Comier, Jeremy Garrett, Don Gilmore, Hannah Lemley, Jill Lingle, Nevada Mash, Ryan Mash, Linn Slack, Audrey Smith, Shannon Smith, Bella Terry, and Jane Terry.
