San Jose Metropolitan Band presents Fairest of the Fair

Join the San Jose Metropolitan Band for an afternoon of crowd-pleasing concert band classics! Our Fairest of the Fair concert will feature classic band music from the Gilded Age through the present. The concert will include Folk Song Suite for Military Band (R. Vaughn Williams), First Suite in Eb for Military Band (Gustav Holst), Children’s March (Percy Grainger), Adoration (Florence Price), Earth Song (Frank Ticheli), Polly Oliver (Thomas Root), and Kentucky = 1800 (Clare Grundman), The concert is on Sunday, February 11th at 3:00pm at the Hammer Theatre, which is located at Paseo de San Antonio and Third Street in downtown San Jose. You don’t want to miss this festive concert!
Come early and explore downtown San Jose, which is home to the San Jose Museum of Art, the dynamic South of First Area (SOFA), and San Pedro Square. After the concert, plan to finish the day with dinner at one of the many excellent downtown restaurants.
