RMT Richmond Youth Screen Orchestra launch day

RMT is very proud to be relaunching our senior orchestra under its new name; Richmond Youth Screen Orchestra . Featuring  music from film, TV, and gaming soundtracks, RYSO will aim to bring the traditions of the symphony orchestra (rehearsal etiquette/orchestral techniques/sightreading en masse) to young people in a fresh, enticing way using repertoire which speaks volumes. The beauty of the screen is that music from all genres, classical to contemporary, is used and we intend to cover a range of styles from a wide variety of eras.

To celebrate our new orchestra, we're inviting players to come and try us out on Saturday 18th February 2023 1000-1700 for just £15.  

We're very lucky to be joined on this day by musicians from The Countess of Wessex's String Orchestra and the day will end with an informal performance at 1630.  Anyone who would like to join in with our launch day on 18th February should complete the registration form at https://www.richmondmusictrust.org.uk/site/ensembles-and-courses/richmond-youth-screen-orchestra-ryso/ 

RYSO is open to any student from Y6 up to and including Y13 who is of at least Grade 4 standard on their instrument.  As we are building a new orchestra we are looking forward to welcoming players of all orchestral instruments and there is no audition requirement.
