Risk Management in the Laboratory Coourse

Risk Management in the Laboratory is designed to introduce participants to the principles of risk management and how this applies to a laboratory setting. This course is relevant to anyone who has responsibility for identifying risks and risk management processes. The course combines the standards with risk management principles. A key focus of the learning objectives is to support an understanding of the risk management process within a laboratory environment, its context and its potential impact.

Course Objectives

Participants will understand;

• Principles of risk management and how they are applied in the laboratory context.
• How to establish, implement, monitor and review an effective risk management framework that incorporates activities relevant to each stage in the risk management process.
• How to develop skills in risk management communication and consultation

Methodology

The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprise of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professional and trainers in these fields.

All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.

Accreditation

Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with an Indepth Research Institute (IRES) certificate certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).

Training Venue

The training will be held at IRES Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments and lunch.

All participants will additionally cater for their, travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.
