As vegans and activists, we are exposed to daily challenges: awareness of cruelty and brutality to animals, fear for our planet's longevity, and even stressful conversations with others who may not agree with a vegan lifestyle. Our cause is undoubtedly worthwhile, and at the same time, we must make sure we care for our mental and physical wellbeing along the way. High-empathy individuals are at a higher risk of taking on the stress and traumas of those around them - which of course includes the suffering of non-human animals.
In this workshop, you will learn the keys to finding resilience in your activism, apply tools to counteract the pervasive compassion fatigue that comes along with a vegan life, and learn mental practices to get out of a stress response quickly. You will leave with the ability to face your animal rights work and vegan lifestyle with a sense of calm strength, and a greater ability to fight for justice long term.
