Quilt Auction And Afternoon Tea - 10/8, Womans Club of Bakersfield

For 40 years the local guild has been supplying quilts, pillowcases, teddy bears, and dog beds to Kern County veterans, neonatal intensive care units, at risk kids, shelters, and fire victims. They are raising funds to support these charitable causes, and to promote further quilting education and community projects.
There will be 55 quilts sold through live and silent auctions, a boutique of handmade items, raffle baskets, door prizes, and other surprise happenings. Professional magician Ron Saylor will be there delighting guests, and the Afternoon Tea is being custom crafted by Locale Farm to Table eatery. Fancy hats are encouraged to be worn in keeping with the spooky, Victorian-tea theme.
Tickets for the event are $65, and available at The She Shed by the Peachy Pig, 1518 19th St, or online at CPQ's website - cottonpatchquiltguild.org prior to the event; no tickets will be sold at the door.
