Protecting Our Rights: Threats to Our Collective Freedoms and How to Respond

The public is invited to a special program on Tuesday, September 20, at 7 pm via Zoom, titled "Protecting Our Rights: Threats to Our Collective Freedoms and How to Respond". Panelists will address a broad range of rights, such as freedom of speech, reproductive rights, voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights, freedom from violence, and the right to a livable future. Panelists include:

. Jessica Maravilla, Policy Director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Oregon
. Rebecca Nelson, Southern Regional Field Organizer for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon
. Marge Easley, Action Committee Member of the League of Women Voters of Oregon
. Carly Werdel, Co-leader of Sunrise Corvallis

Each panelist will make a brief presentation, followed by audience questions.

The League of Women Voters of the US has long been an outspoken advocate of our basic rights. The League of Women Voters of Corvallis invites local community members and others throughout Oregon to explore current threats to these rights - and effective responses.
