You've done all the hard work ahead of your next online presentation. You've timed yourself and you've practiced over and over again. The tone is right, it's sounding great - but what about the tech part? You've seen how tech challenges or poor tech set-up can throw online presenters and distract from their message, and you want to iron out any technical glitches BEFORE you're in front of your audience.

* Practice makes perfect: This free fully interactive peer learning practice session provides a safe space where you will:
- benchmark yourself on the fundamentals of virtual presenting
- be both the presenter and audience
- give and get feedback
- hone your technical skills
- push past your blind spots
- increase your confidence
- reveal any areas you may require further practice on

...before you're in front of your clients or colleagues at your next big presentation or pitch!

Why attend?:
Being an excellent in-person public speaker isn't enough for effective online presenting. The technical skills any online presenter should also master are:
* sharing slides like a pro
* getting engagement in the chat
* being seen and heard with clarity (mic, cam, gaze, background etc)

This practice space will give you the chance to ensure you get this right "on the night".

* Preparing a short PowerPoint presentation is required (3 minutes, topic of your choice.) Full details will be sent upon registering.

PRACTICE SESSION STRUCTURE (all times in UK time)

* 13:00 pm - A 5-minute window to come and take a virtual seat

* 13:05 pm - Welcome and introduction
Your facilitator will introduce how the practice session will run.

* 13:10 pm - Ice-breaker break out
Warm-up and meet new people in a small group in a break-out room with an easy and light-hearted activity.

* 13:15 pm - Practice presentations (groups of 4)

* 13:45 pm - Group feedback
Back in the main room, groups will feedback on their key learnings to the whole group. Common pitfalls and great top tips will be discussed.

* 13:55 pm - Wrap up

* 14:00 pm - Close

About your facilitator:
Katie was the In-House Training Manager and one of the Events Producers at a leading B2B conference and training company delivering conferences, workshops, and training for blue-chip clients for over 25 years. Soon after the company pivoted online at the start of the pandemic, Katie set up 'engage online' to support individuals and organisations in the transition from in-person to online facilitation in order to bridge the stark and growing skills gap.
