Pocosin Lakes and Lake Mattamuskeet Bird Trip

We will visit Pocosin Lakes and Lake Mattamuskeet NWR, home to thousands of Tundra Swan and Snow Geese in the winter, to observe a variety of migratory waterfowl. On Friday we will visit the Pungo Unit at Pocosin Lakes exploring from afternoon until dusk. On Saturday morning we will depart early from the hotel in Washington, NC to visit Lake Mattamuskeet exploring until the afternoon returning to Wilmington by 5pm Saturday evening. Transportation is included in the cost of the trip. Lodging and meals not included, however a group rate will be available at the hotel. A bag lunch will be required on Friday. We will eat dinner Friday and lunch Saturday at a local Washington, NC restaurant.
