Oakland Civic Orchestra: Picturesque! February 2, Valley Center for the Performing Arts

The Oakland Civic Orchestra, conducted by Artistic Director Martha Stoddard and Assistant Conductor Andrew O'Donnell, presents its "Picturesque!" concert. The program features soloist Sara Couden in Mahler's Songs of a Wayfarer and also includes traditional favorites von Weber's Overture to Der Freischutz and Smetana's The Moldau as well as the Northern California premiere of Ruth Gipps's Symphony No.2.
