Weds Jun 07 (7pm-11/1130pm - Free Entry) - We continue our cutting edge Weds live Jazz series - NU JAZZ GENERATIONS with a really special show featuring 3 brilliant up and coming live acts. NJG Championing the nu-wave of live jazz + beyond. Providing an essential platform for talented young and student musicians to let loose, experiment and explore new school / old school musical realms, this time up on the roof at The CLF Art Lounge and Roof Garden.

This week - Featuring singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist ASTRA FORWARD, Mancunian singer songwriter and vocalist ALIA + highly regarded singer-songwriter, producer, guitarist, bassist and mixing engineer CHEVELLE FRAZER ROSE - 3 more Incredible young acts serving up a full evening of righteous musical joints, delivered well hot and cool up on the roof.

Bands live on stage from around 730pm, each band performing one live set.

ASTRA FORWARD

Astra Forward is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer who writes dreamy and intimate songs about the power of nature and human connection. If you need more info...

She has performed extensively throughout Europe and the UK as a solo artist and as keyboardist/singer with Diagrams 7-piece band (Sam Genders/Tunng), The Robot Heart and Welfare (Pat Whelan), supporting St. Vincent, Gomez, Athlete, Ben Ottewell (Gomez) and Steve Mason (Beta Band) amongst others.

ALIA

Growing up in Manchester, Alia would spend her spare time songwriting in her notebook. After moving to London, Alia has been able to bring her music to life in the studio and collaborate. Her vulnerable lyricism and angelic vocals can be heard throughout her releases. Alia is inspired by a range of musicians such as Kali Uchis, Lianne La Havas and Billie Holiday. Working in the studio Alia writes, sings and produces her songs, performing round London and Manchester, two cities which inspire her creatively. 

CHEVELLE FRAZER ROSE

Chevelle Frazer Rose is a multi disciplined artist hailing from South East London. Highly regarded singer-songwriter, producer, guitarist, bassist and mixing engineer. 

With over 11 years experience performing her own work and supporting other industry professionals, Chevelle’s artistry explores the fusion of several genres including neo soul, folk and jazz. 

Chevelle has busy building an impressive repertoire of new solo material that combines soulful grooves on electric guitar, warming vocals and spoken word and will be serenading you with new material with a solo set on the night.
