National Workshop on Bigdata Analytics with Hadoop

OBJECTIVE
Applying basic analytics is restricted to human scale activities and direction. Unfortunately traditional analytics tools are not well suited to capture the valuable information hidden in Big Data. The volume of data is too large for comprehensive analysis. The range of potential correlations and relationships between disparate data sources, from back end customer databases to live web based click streams, are too great for any analyst to test all hypotheses and derive all the value buried in the data.
The objective of this workshop is to provide a practical exposure to the participants about Hadoop Frame work and insight into the Big Data and its tools

FACULTY
Sessions will be handled by experienced faculty members of Kongu Engineering College.

 

BOARDING AND LODGING
Accommodation and boarding if required will be provided in the college campus on chargeable basis (Rs 200/- per day).

The registration fee includes course material, lunch and refreshment. Demand Draft for the registration fee payable at Perundurai or Erode must be drawn in favour of “TBI@KEC-General”.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE

ABOUT TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS INCUBATOR
TBI@KEC, first of its kind in India has been established in the KEC campus with the support and grant –in-aid from the NSTEDB/DST/GoI. The motto of the Incubator is “Concept to Commercialization”. The TBI provides congenial atmosphere with state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities-hardware as well as software-in the emerging Electronics and ICT related technology areas so that the entrepreneur-aspirants including SMEs can convert their innovative ideas into commercial products and services. The TBI offers its services to the faculty and students also to get directly involved with the entrepreneurs in product/process development. TBI@KEC has won the National Award for Technology Business Incubator from the DST for the year 2012. The Award was presented by the President of India in May 2013.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Department of CSE was started in the year 1988 with B.E. Programme. With the increasing demand in Computer Science and Engineering, M.E programme was started in the year 1999. The department is recognized to offer research programme leading to Ph.D. The department aims at developing intellectually alert, scientifically progressive, globally competent and dynamic young IT professionals.
ABOUT THE LOCATION
The college is situated at Perundurai on the National Highway (NH47) about 80 km from Coimbatore and 17 km from Erode. It is well connected by air, road and rail.
