National Fitness Day – free gym use at Absolutely Fitness Slough

As part of National Fitness Day the Slough community is being encouraged to kickstart a new healthier lifestyle by enjoying free use of Absolutely Fitness. 

The gym is inviting people to make use of its facilities, which include a ladies-only gym, functional training zone, fitness classes and in excess of 150 pieces of equipment, for the day at no cost. 

In addition, those who become a gym member on the day will not pay the £30 joining fee, and if visitors join the staff in dressing up as superheroes, they will receive a month's free use. There will also be competitions and a raffle giving visitors and members the chance to win a range of prizes, including free week and month passes for friends and family, and discount karting sessions at Absolutely Fitness' sister organisation Absolutely Karting. All the money raised from the raffle will be donated to Absolutely Together, which gives free leisure experiences to families who have children or young adults with additional needs. 

Those entering the gym will need to adhere to social distancing and hygiene rules, which include following a one-way system, training at a safe distance, making use of the sanitising kits, and wearing face masks while in the changing room areas. 

The gym is open between 6am and midday, then 2pm and 8pm. Between midday and 2pm extensive cleaning will take place.
