Violinists Yevgenia and Sander Strenger will return to the South Harwich Meetinghouse on Sunday, November 27 at 3 pm for a special "Double Concerto" program, with Dan Berlinghoff at the piano. The "Masterpieces at the Meetinghouse" concert will feature Bach's Concerto in D minor for Two Violins and Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola- both works the soloists have recently performed in Connecticut with orchestra- here accompanied by piano. In addition to the Classics, the three members of The Music Project will play Romantic chamber music selections from Max Bruch's Eight Pieces, op. 83.

"What a delight! Combinations that keep everyone's interest peaked" WQXR

Dan Berlinghoff, instrumental in the development of our first "Masterpieces at the Meetinghouse" Series will be performing on the beautiful, historic Steinway that he so generously donated to the South Harwich Meetinghouse.

Come experience outstanding chamber music within our beautifully restored 1836 South Harwich Meetinghouse, proud recipient of the 2019 Massachusetts Historic Commission Preservation Award. The South Harwich Meetinghouse recreates the perfect setting with historic lighting, unparalleled acoustics and candlelit ambience.

About THE MUSIC PROJECT ....

Formed in 1975 to explore the repertory for winds, strings and piano, Music Project concerts were held at the Ukrainian Institute, Marymount Manhattan Theater, Christ and St. Stephen's Church, Merkin Hall, Society for Ethical Culture and Carnegie Recital Hall. Concerts at Town Hall in 1978 earned critical praise for the ensemble as "the chamber music ideal" (New York) and the "bright, fresh alternative to the established Chamber Music Society at Lincoln Center" (The New Yorker). The ensemble performed for more than two decades in Manhattan and on tour, including appearances at the Caramoor Festival, Crystal Palace, Frick Collection, and broadcasts over WNYC, WQXR, WNCN, and WFUV. The 100th subscription concert was held in 1994. Since the series finale in 1998,
Project members periodically join forces to play for their own enjoyment ~ and, we sincerely hope, yours!
The South Harwich Meetinghouse is located at 270 Chatham Rd, Harwich, MA 02645.
