Join us at Graycliff for a special fundraising concert event and the first time the full Orchard Park Symphony Orchestra (OPSO) has given an in-person performance in over 18 months! Music on the Lawn will feature the OPSO performing outdoors on Graycliff's historic lawn, with attendees invited to bring their own chairs and blankets for seating. The event is a celebration of American Scholar Day, an occasion identified by Frank Lloyd Wright on the anniversary of a lecture given by Ralph Waldo Emerson and will include an abridged reading of the classic text by actor John Fredo. The all-American musical program will feature Gershwin, Copland, Bernstein, Sousa, and more, with the orchestra (over 50 musicians) led by the OPSO's brand new Principal Conductor and Music Director, S. Shade Zajac.
Tickets begin at $50 for general admission (Graycliff Members save $15) with the option to purchase a premium ticket at $80, which includes a reserved Adirondack chair and a complimentary drink.
All tickets include an individually portioned picnic-in-a-box and a cash bar will be available that evening featuring Clarksburg Cider, beer, and wine. Proceeds from the event will benefit Graycliff Conservancy.
