Mozaico Flamenco Sunday Salon Series presents "CALLE VERDE"

Mozaico Flamenco's Sunday Salon Series features LIVE CUADRO FLAMENCO which means live flamenco dancers with flamenco guitar, singer, palmas and percussion. On November 6, we present veteran flamenco group, CALLE VERDE, and bailaora Michelle Harding dances three solos in first set at 7:30pm. This show is supported by Peter Mole on flamenco guitar, Maria Avila flamenco singer and Matteo Sampaolo on cajon/percussion. Calle Verde was established in 2014 as a group of flamenco artists steeped in Flamenco tradition, but daring to experiment and explore authentic expression. Calle Verde operates from a transitional crossroads, where flamenco intersects with other genres like pop, samba, and jazz. Michelle Harding is one of Vancouver's premier tablao performers, known for her improvisational instinct, rapid-fire footwork and engaging presence. Michelle performed for over 19 years and has an extensive biography for performances the famed Kino Cafe, dozens of Canadian and International festivals and many productions with Mozaico Flamenco Dance Theatre.

Mozaico Flamenco is pleased to present the "Sunday Salon Series" at the Anne MacDonald Studio at the Presentation House Theatre 333 Chesterfield Avenue in North Vancouver. This November completes the series with Nov 13 Cyrena "La Sirena" with "Flamenco Dim Sum. www.mozaicoflamenco.com. Box office opens at 7pm for door sales. The show starts at 7:30pm. Act 1 is a 45-50 min professional show, followed by a Question and Answer period over wine $5 so the audience can meet the artists. Act 2 starts at 8:30pm and continues in a community circle like the tablaos in the caves of Sacromonte, Granada. Flamenco is a vibrant art form that lives on audience interaction in the form of handclapping and shouts, OLE! Celebrate this wonderful event with Mozaico Flamenco. We are grateful to the BC Arts Council for keeping the Arts alive in BC. Let's bring back the Arts to the Community!
