MLK Jr. Week of Service, Give Together

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., and the spirit of service he represented, Volunteer Fairfax presents Give Together, an in-person day of service for families, businesses, and youth. Join us as we work together to complete service projects benefitting local nonprofits and community members in the Northern Virginia region. This experience allows children and teens to witness first-hand how fun and valuable volunteering can be. Please register for one session. The third session will focus on service projects well suited for teens, ages 13-18.

During sessions one and two, there will also be two Financial Literacy Workshops offered. If you would like to attend one of the workshops, sign up will be available during check-in. One workshop is designed to equip young participants (grades 3-5) with basic financial decision-making skills and the second workshop prepares older students (grades 9-12) for real-world financial responsibilities by understanding paychecks and taxes. Session three will only feature the financial literacy workshop for grades 9-12.

Schedule on Saturday, January 25, 2025:

9:30am: Check-in opens

10:00am - 11:30am: Session 1
Various service projects and financial literacy workshops begin.

12:30pm - 2:00pm: Session 2
Various service projects and financial literacy workshops begin.

3:00pm - 4:00pm: Session 3 for Teens ages 13-18
