Delhi's own Chipko Movement: To save 1600 trees from being felled - The News 7
These headlines speak galore of the need of the hour.
The need to fight against the extraction or removal of trees in Delhi as well as the rampant deforestation in the country. There are online petitions as well as protests to protect the trees in Delhi from rampant felling. However, we want to take this one step forward. We need to create a self-sustaining model for the stakeholders of the each locality, not just for preserving the flora but for also preserving the fauna of the surrounding.
Thus, for a consequential and resolution-oriented conversation on such a pertinent subject, we request you all to join us for an 'Adda Session' with :
Purva Grover
Author, The Trees Told Me So
If trees could talk, theyd have so much to tell...
This is how the author of a recently published title,The Trees Told Me So, begins her conversation with her readers. Nature (Read: Tree) is the common thread that runs through the stories in the book. The tree is always an integral part of our lives, but so under observed or cared for. Rather than approaching a pedantic way, the author's approach to creating awareness through subconscious plantation of the idea is worth applauding and perhaps, a replicating model.
Shivang Mehta,
Wildlife Photographer & Author of A Decade with Tiger
Similarly, a wildlife photographer is as close to the nature as a civilized human can get. Years and years of understanding, gives them a voice worth hearing. Hence, let us hear from the horse's mouth and conceive ideas which can help us save our country's ecology.

We would like to invite everyone, remotely concerned with the environment to come join us and discuss on the same platform on how we can bring about a self-sufficient movement, through our writings as well as our activities.
It is a synergic request to the house to, first, share their ideas, stories and anecdotes in order to address the issue at hand.
And secondly, help implement those ideas, starting small.
