The Ostreme Centre is hosting an evening of outstanding, standout, stand-up comedy as a fundraiser for Cancer Research UK on Friday 28 February. Flock Comedy will transform the community centre on Newton Road into a "pop-up" comedy club with four professional comedians providing the entertainment.
Headlining the gig is mentalist Kockov who hails from the former Soviet Republic of Monrokvia, where, until the winter of 1989, he lived with his seventeen brothers and sisters. The heavy-accented, tight leather-trousered, mullet-hairdoed, master magician is now a resident of Barry Island in South Wales, and enjoys nationwide and international performances throughout the year.
"Very professional, very funny, very magic!" Project Manager SWSbiz Wales
Wilson Milton is a cheeky Londoner with a mixture of sharp observations, pin-point accents and curveball one-liners. He's currently progressing up the comedy ladder and was a "Get-Up, Stand-Up" Finalist in 2018.
"His style remind us of Micky Flanagan back in the day." Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club
West Country girl Samantha Day shares the journey of her career trajectory from Chartered Accountant to renown Life Coach and motivational speaker, improving her audiences' lives as she goes.
"Warm, engaging, raw and very very funny." Crazy Bird Comedy Club
Multi-award-winning comedian, Matt Rees, opens the gig. This deadpan stand-up is a sober drunk and had to take a break from comedy to deal with his personal matters. But now he's back with his with his unique brand of well-crafted gags and acerbic delivery. Matt appeared in BBC 3's This Country and has won a whole host of awards including Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and the Leicester Square Comedian of The Year. Matt works at the top UK clubs and is booked by the leading festivals such as Latitude, Reading, Leeds, Green Man Man and Machynlleth Comedy Fest. Matt has supported tours by Joe Lycett, Elis James and Patrick Kielty.
