ME Elecmetal's 2022 Manufacturing Day Foundry Open House

ME Elecmetal, a globally competitive supplier of consumable wear parts for the mineral processing industry, announces its participation in Manufacturing Day 2022. Manufacturing Day helps show the reality of modern manufacturing by encouraging thousands of companies across the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders. ME Elecmetal will host Manufacturing Day events on October 8, 2022, at each of the company's United States foundry locations — Duluth, Minnesota and Tempe, Arizona. 

On October 8, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., ME Elecmetal will be giving public tours of our foundries, conducting metal casting demonstrations, educating the public on the importance of the metal casting industry to both our communities and the U.S. economy and demonstrating to younger workers that metal casting can be a great career.

U.S. metal casting, comprised of foundries and die casters, is a technology-driven industry that offers secure, good-paying jobs. In the coming decade, it is estimated that nearly 4 million U.S. manufacturing jobs will be needed. Metal casting will be a significant portion of those jobs as castings are used in every industry sector from Aerospace to Agriculture to Automotive and beyond. Participation in Manufacturing Day is a way for ME Elecmetal to convey their passion for what they do and its importance to the economies of Duluth, Minnesota and Tempe, Arizona.

Manufacturing Day is co-produced by the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International (FMA), the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the Manufacturing Institute (MI), the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), and guest producer Industrial Strength Marketing (ISM). The American Foundry Society (AFS) supports Manufacturing Day activities for metal casters.
