The Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart presented by Sotto Voce

Sotto Voce begins their foray into production of traditional opera with a reimagined staging of Mozart's beloved singspiel The Magic Flute. Our production will reassess and rework the story's drama to get at the heart of the tale and deal thoughtfully with its problematic elements. Through powerful singing and considered dramaturgy we hope to breathe new life into a classic show. Our staging will include both live singing in German, a minimalist theatrical aesthetic, and a number of projected short films based on the show's original dialogues but rewritten in English. You can also join us after the show for a special themed reception. Come out for a magical evening of music, food, and fun!
