OVERVIEW
Static charts are fine for printed reports and PDFs, but if you want to immerse a live audience in your numbers, Excel is totally capable of giving you a dynamic, color-coded chart. You can ‘drill into’ the numbers, showing different subsets of the information, and helping people see valuable insights. They key to making this work is a system of logical functions – functions that use changing criteria to give you different charts on-the-fly. With functions like SUMIFS, IFS, AND, OR, and others, you can highlight maximums, minimums, values that fall within ranges – all as you change the focus of your visualization. Doing this live in front of a room can pull those people in, and make them see what you see. In this session, we’ll be building a series of tables and charts that will make your insights absolutely compelling.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND
Many people are spending extra money on subscription products like Tableau and PowerBI, when there are a wealth of tools in Excel to accomplish many of the same things. With the right tools, techniques, and tricks, you can create stunning, dynamic visuals that change live in the room.
