Local Charity Connect to Greatness Appoints Dr. Anthony Hamlet as New Board Chairperson

Connect to Greatness, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Black male students to become visionary leaders and transformative changemakers, proudly announces the appointment of Dr. Anthony Hamlet as the new Chairperson of its Board of Directors. Dr. Hamlet's unwavering commitment to educational equity, demonstrated throughout his career, will undoubtedly advance the organization's mission, inspiring the next generation of Black male leaders to achieve their fullest potential.

Dr. Hamlet brings a wealth of knowledge in educational transformation and equity-focused leadership. His career began in Palm Beach County, where he served as a case manager and behavioral specialist before moving into roles as an educator, administrator, and eventually Superintendent of Pittsburgh Public Schools. As Superintendent, Dr. Hamlet led impactful reforms that increased student achievement and reduced suspension rates, aligning Pittsburgh's schools to become a cohesive and supportive system. These efforts earned him national recognition, including multiple prestigious Green Garner Superintendent Award nominations, a testament to his leadership and vision.

"His commitment to dismantling systemic barriers and his track record of transformational leadership make him an invaluable partner in advancing our mission."

A graduate of the University of Miami and an accomplished former NFL player, Dr. Hamlet combines a deep understanding of leadership with a commitment to helping young people reach their fullest potential. His educational journey continued with a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and specialized training from Harvard's School Turnaround Leaders Program and the AASA/Howard University Urban Superintendents Academy.

Today, Dr. Hamlet is President and CEO of CSI Strategies LLC, a consultancy focused on revolutionizing educational systems through equity-centered policies, culturally responsive practices, and innovative instructional strategies. Through his work, Dr. Hamlet remains committed to creating inclusive educational environments where all students can thrive.

His unique blend of educational expertise and commitment to transformative change will support the organization as it expands its impact throughout Palm Beach County and beyond.
