Pompeya is a Moscow band that creates unabashed Pop and New Wave music inspired by likes of 80's classics from The Cure to Duran Duran. Their debut "Tropical" (2011) and follow up "Foursome" (2012) earned the band significant popularity in their home country, "energetically introducing Moscow's youth to indie culture" remarked Los Angeles radio station KCRW. The two releases were reissued in 2013 by Mishu, alongside with a remix LP that included edits from Jimmy Edgar, Fred Falke, Psychomagik and others. These releases did well among U.S. college radio stations.
The band released third «Real» LP in 2015 via Mishu, mixed by Brian Mctear (Local Natives, War on Drugs) in Philadelphia and co-produced by Dave Hartley (The War On Drugs) in NYC which been noticed by Stereogum, Entertainment Weekly, Noisey and other outlets. Tobi Lynn - host of LA's Alt 98.7fm mentioned "Real" among her «favorite Top 10 records of 2015»
Following years the band spent writing demos that later became their fourth album "Dreamers". Album was completely written and recorded in the USA, produced by the band themselves and mixed by Jules de Gasperis (Bleached, James Supercave) in Los Angeles. Pompeya went d.i.y. and released the LP without record label - as Pompeya Music.
