Hear stories of inspiring, civically-engaged SouthCoast women such as champion of historic preservation Sarah Ashley Delano, educator and labor leader Margaret Ryckebusch, doctor and voting rights activist Marie Equi, and educator and abolitionist Martha Briggs. Meet at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. This FREE one-hour tour is a recurring program offered as part of the "Lighting the Way Historic Women of the SouthCoast" project and is presented in collaboration with the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park program "Lighting the World."
