Our stunning "Masterpieces at the Meetinghouse" Chamber Series continues with a new twist! We are thrilled to invite our Chamber concert audiences to enjoy an elegant Tea Room Reception along with the highest level of Chamber music excellence! Our winter season includes the outstanding talents of the Lighthouse Chamber Players in January, Giocosa Chamber Music in February and the New York Chamber CoOp in March. The Tea Room Reception begins at 2:00 pm, followed by the 3:00 pm Chamber performance. Doors open at 1:30 pm.
On Sunday afternoon, January 21st, Lighthouse Chamber Players featuring Elizabeth Chang, violin; Carol Ou, cello; and Alissa Leiser, piano will delight audiences! You will not want to miss this wonderful experience in the warmth of the South Harwich Meetinghouse on a winter afternoon!

About the Artists...
Elizabeth Chang, violinist, enjoys a multi-faceted career as performer, teacher, and arts administrator. Her performing career has taken her to more than twenty countries and her chamber music appearances have included collaborations with many of today's leading artists. She is professor of violin at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a member of the violin and viola faculties of the Pre-College Division of the Juilliard School. Ms. Chang is Artistic Director and co-founder of the Lighthouse Chamber Players (Cape Cod) as well as co-founder and co-organizer of the Five College New Music Festival, the UMass Amherst Bach Festival and Symposium, and Musique de Chamber en Val Lamartinien (Burgundy, France).. A native New Yorker, Ms. Chang's primary teachers were Louise Behrend, Joseph Fuchs, Roman Totenberg, and Max Rostal. She is a graduate of Harvard University and was the recipient of the Presidential Scholar in the Arts Award and the Beebe Fellowship for Study Abroad awarded by New England Conservatory.
An award winning cellist, Carol Ou is known for her "fiery, marvelous," "meltingly melodic outpourings" (Boston Globe) and her "wonderfully pure cello tone and incisive technique." (The Strad) A founding member of Trio Flamecrest, Carol was a member of the Carpe Diem String Quartet and a longtime duo partner of legendary violinist James Buswell. Her solo and chamber music concerts have taken her to prestigious concert venues across the globe, including Carnegie Weill Hall, Jordan Hall, National Gallery of Art, Gardner Museum, National Concert Hall in Kiev, and the National Concert Hall of Taipei. A graduate of Yale University, Ms. Ou received her BA magna cum laude from Yale College and her master's and doctorate in music performance from the Yale School of Music. Carol mentors inquisitive students of all ages at New England Conservatory of Music and has taught cello students at Yale, MIT, and NYU. Outside of her regular teaching, Carol serves as the Director of the Music for Peace concert series in Cambridge, MA and travels internationally for cello and chamber music master classes on five continents, most recently in Hong Kong, Turkey, and Italy.
Pianist Alissa Leiser is recognized as both a soloist and collaborative artist of technical skill and interpretive command. She has performed at Alice Tully Hall, the Ravinia Festival, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The National Gallery of Art, Bargemusic, and the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago. Her orchestral appearances have included the New Jersey Symphony, the New Orchestra of Boston and Orchestra New England. Ms. Leiser holds undergraduate and advanced degrees from The Juilliard School where she studied with William Masselos. Ms. Leiser has been a sought-after teacher for over 20 years. She is proud to have influenced a generation of young pianists. She has taught at Mount Holyoke College, Smith College and Amherst College.
