Learn to Kayak!

Ever wanted to try white water kayaking? Our summer course is great fun and is an opportunity to learn new kayaking skills. The Introduction to White Water Kayaking course is designed for adults (18+) who have little or no previous experience of paddling kayaks, but who want to get onto moving water by the end of the course.

Learn the basics over four weeks of canal and pool-based sessions before finishing with a weekend away to explore the River Wye. Here we combine smooth water paddling with the more technical Symonds Yat rapids, where you can put all your new skills into action with some exciting white water kayaking!

The cost for 2023 is £250.00 per person for current members (£325 for non-members). This includes all tuition, hire of equipment, fuel costs for the day trip and weekend away, as well as breakfast, lunch and accommodation on the weekend away. The instructors are all volunteers and do not get paid. The only additional expense will be for a Saturday evening meal on the weekend away and beer money!
