Toronto born Eva Shaw is internationally recognized as an innovative multi-talent. From music producing to topline writing, music video directing/producing and starting up her own Hip-hop based label Mad Fatti Ent. Eva released "High", featuring the legendary Shaggy. The song has been picked up by major radio stations in Canada and the U.S. as well as steadily building streaming and sales and successful live shows featuring Shaggy and other performers. Eva is now running in at over 46 million streams on Spotify alone and over 50 million views on her YouTube videos and continues to grow.

With Eva focusing her original music toward vocal based songs, she was asked by label heavyweight Def Jam to remix their top artists. With remixes for Rihanna (for which she won a No. 1 slot on the Billboard dance charts), Ludacris, Fifth Harmony and Bibi Bourelly going strong, Eva continues to get the nod from successful pop artists looking for her spin on their original tunes.

Eva started off 2019 with a bang. Her single Snakes is consistently streaming and stayed on New Music Friday & Hip Hop Central for more than 5 months and continues to grow. The record premiered in Complex mag and has been playing at the Toronto Raptor's basketball games and on Hot97 NYC. Most recently Eva dropped Addicted (with Nate Husser) and maintains a monthly listenership of 150,000+ on Spotify.

In addition to three of his records being nominated on the Short List of the prestigious Polaris Music Prize, TSOL won the 2011 Rap Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards. Since then, Shad has elevated his practice by emerging as a vital broadcaster. After hosting CBC Radio’s q, he went on to host the Hip-Hop Evolution docuseries, whose 2016 season on HBO Canada earned both a Peabody Award and an International Emmy Award.

A Short Story About a War (2018) tells the story of a fictional world consumed by war, with various factions and philosophies clashing, and in the middle of it all, one character who doesn’t believe in the power of bullets. The poetic storytelling weaves its way through themes of migration, environment, economics, politics, and most critically, the deepest parts of our spirit.

This music was created in collaboration with dozens of musicians and engineers: From genre-less luminaries like Kaytranada, 2oolman of A Tribe Called Red, and Lido Pimienta, to crafty indie rockers Yukon Blonde, and Toronto rap vets Ian Kamau, Eternia, and DJ T Lo. Their contributions bring multiple textures and colours to the singular vision Shad created. In the end, this serious record is a joy to listen to, full as it is of pop craftsmanship that doesn’t turn a blind eye to human nature.
