Saturday 2nd August starts with an Open Mic in the Moorside Room at 10am, a history walk at 11.00 from the Buttercross, buskers on the Buttercross, the Town Brass Band on the Cobbles at 12.00 and then free live music in every pub and café (starting with pop/ rock band Chocolatebox at the White Swan) all afternoon and into the evening.
At 2pm, wonderful singer songwriter Wounded Bear will be playing in All Saints Church, followed by the fabulous vocal duo Flo and Jones at 4.30, and then Jazz with John Lane and Friends at 7.30.
Meanwhile, Saturday night is Country Night in the Memorial Hall, with PJ getting you ready with a line dancing class at 3pm before opening for top country band, The Breeze at 8.00. Prize for the best country outfit!
Sunday morning starts with a free children's disco in the Memorial Hall at 11am, followed at 2pm by an 1940's Tea Dance with a sumptuous afternoon tea and a glass of fizz, and a prize for the best '40's outfit. There is a second chance to find out about the town's colourful history on a history walk leaving the Buttercross a 11am.
