The Polygon Gallery is proud to be hosting the regular program - Kids First Saturdays. Join us on the first Saturday of every month for hands-on creative activities. Visit the Gallery, explore the artworks, and participate in activities that lead to deeper engagement with art and creativity.
As a regular Kids First visitor, you will always be greeted with new and exciting methods of creative play, encouraging experimentation with various media and materials.
Saturday, September 7, 11am - 3pm.
Pose, click, cut and paste. The work of Vancouver-born Sara Cwynar combines elements of high-end fashion shoots with old-school collage techniques to create a contemporary take on portrait photography. Designed for visitors both young and old, our project will begin with a coloured photo booth opportunity to pose for the camera. This image will then be printed out on a sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper, which can be cut, pleated, folded or combined with a selection of art and fashion images taken from magazine sources.
Mark your 2019 calendar for the first Saturday of each month!
