Artistic director Paul Flight leads the award-winning California Bach Society in J.S. Bach's magnificent St. John Passion, a work of unparalleled dramatic intensity and transcendent beauty. The 30-voice chorus is accompanied by a full Baroque orchestra and soloists, with Mark Bonney as the Evangelist and Scott Graff in the role of Jesus. Three performances: Friday, May 6 in San Francisco; Saturday, May 7 in Palo Alto; and Sunday, May 8 in Berkeley; details at www.calbach.org.
