Step out in style for an unforgettable evening at the Jordan Big Bottle Party, hosted as part of Jordan Winery's golden 50th anniversary. Stroll through the terraces at the Governor's Residence gardens, enjoying tastes of Jordan Cuvée by Champagne AR Lenoble and Jordan caviar blinis before digging into delicious food pairings by guest chefs—Chef-Owner Tom Coohill of Coohills, Chef-Owner Troy Guard of Guard and Grace, Chef Ryan Rau of Urban Farmer and Chef Norbert Hiller from E5 Events and Epicurean Catering—each paired with a special selection of Jordan new release or library wine. Magnums will be flowing throughout the evening, including the 40th anniversary vintage of 2016 Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon and the newly released 2020 Jordan Chardonnay—the first vintage to be bottled in magnum since 2004.
The evening culminates with a dessert reception and a parade of Jordan bottles by the Big Bottle Squad—including John Jordan, proprietor of Jordan Winery, and Maggie Kruse, winemaker at Jordan Winery—who are teaming up for a showstopping reveal of rare 3-liter, 6-liter and 18-liter big bottles of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon before their grand uncorking, as well as magnums of a special "Super Blend" that was never released to the public. Live entertainment by Spinphony Electric String Quartet will further set the festive mood. Dress is wine country casual to festive. For those who go gold with their garb, a grand prize for Best Dressed will be given at the end of the night.
The Jordans built Jordan Winery while living in Denver in the 1970s, and second-generation vintner John Jordan, who shares his 50th birthday with the winery, is thrilled to uncork the biggest and rarest Jordan bottles with fellow wine lovers in the city he still considers his hometown.
