Standup comedy returns to the Cotuit Center for the Arts on New Year's Eve with Boston comedians Steve Bjork and Chris D. joining host Jim Ruberti for shows at 7 and 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 31.

The show is presented by the Cotuit Center for the Arts and Scamps Comedy. Tickets remain $35, $33 for seniors and $30 for members.

Steve Bjork is a polished veteran of the highly competitive Boston comedy scene with crisscrossing tours of the country under his belt. His material is intelligent, sometimes absurd, and always accessible; but first and foremost, it is funny. In his act and in his book Almost Domesticated, Bjork takes everyday life and turns it upside down in a way that any audience can enjoy. He has been featured in the Boston Globe and appeared in an Olympia Sports commercial. He has performed at all the major Boston and New England comedy clubs along with The Improv in Las Vegas, NV; Mohegan Sun in CT, Hilarities in Orlando, FL and Cleveland, OH; TSM Comedy Caravan in Louisville, KY; Crackers in Indianapolis, IN; Penguins in Cedar Rapids, IA; and many, many others.

Chris D. - Chris Dimitrakopoulos - is a young Boston headliner who has been a standout at The Hampton Beach Comedy Festival, The Beantown Comedy Riots, The Boston Comedy Festival, and The Burbank Comedy Festival in Los Angeles. In addition to regularly opening for national headliners like Juston McKinney and Lenny Clarke, Chris once held the prestigious title of “Comic in Residence" at the famous Comedy Studio in Cambridge. He was chosen by Showtime producers to be the East Coast warm-up comic for the special Rob Gronkowski's Unsportsmanlike Comedy. He also popped up in a hilarious altercation on the popular AandE program Live PD.

Barnstable's own Jim Ruberti is Boston comedian and actor who has been entertaining people for well over 30 years, starting as a child in the theaters of Cape Cod performing with Broadway actors such as John Raitt or Theordore Bikel, and progressing into roles as an adult at venues like the Barnstable Comedy Club. He has been a comic fundraising auctioneer and event host for more than 12 years, and a stand-up comedian working stages around New England. As a stand-up, he's shared the stage with Boston headliners such as Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, Jimmy Dunn, Christine Hurley, Paul Nardizzi, Mike McDonald, Juston McKinney, and Tony V.
