Renowned pianist and performer Brian Gurl presents a "Pre" St. Patty's Day musical bash featuring a spectacular array of Irish favorites performed by a supremely talented musical cast. In addition to such popular hits as It's A Great Day For The Irish and When Irish Eyes Are Smilin', this show blends in authentic Irish jigs and reels, contemporary Celtic pop by The Corrs (Toss The Feathers)- as well as songs by Celtic Women, (Isle Of Hope), Irish hits from movies ( "My Heart Will Go On" - Titanic) and even music from River Dance! In addition to that, the cast re-enacts an "Irish Pub scene" - jamming together musically in a semi-circle just like they do in Ireland.
Starring veteran violinist-fiddler Carlann Evans from the Sarasota Orchestra, orchestral flutist and vocalist Karen Romig and internationally traveled vocalist Michele Pruyn and Brian on piano, vocals and melodica - plus a bassist and drummer, this show delivers a rich mosaic of both instrumental and vocal pieces. From solo voices to four part harmony and from ragtime piano (Four Leaf Clover) to a fusion of jazz and classical (Galway Bay), there is surely something for everyone in Brian Gurl's Irish-Celtic Show!
