International Women's Week in Tower Hamlets

In 2021 the theme is 'WOMEN: Identity, Crisis, Future' - looking at our values and sense of identity, how women have been affected by the current coronavirus pandemic, and how we may achieve a better, fairer future. This diverse and inclusive programme has been put together by local women’s groups and community organisations and includes workshops, talks, film screenings, craft and food demonstrations and workshops across Tower Hamlets. Highlights include: The Women in Focus Festival at Poplar Union, Tati Craft exhibition and demonstration and Tati Food demonstration at The Oitij-jo Collective, music and celebrations for International Women's Day and 'Women at Work', a special feature about the work of all the women transforming the old Royal London Hospital building in Whitechapel into a 21st Century Town Hall for Tower Hamlets.
