Where we live is extraordinary.
The music dancing in our ears, the food that nourishes our bodies, and the people that prepare both-all of it is a gift. One worth celebrating, honouring, remembering, and preserving.
To that end, we hope you join us November 20th for an afternoon of Indigenous musical and culinary gifts, curated by the Gitxsan and Cree dance artist Raven Grenier.
Featuring:
-M'Girl hand drum ensemble, sisters and friends who sing together in celebration of life, love and harmony.
-Dakelh poet and musician Zofia Rose.
-Skwxwu7mesh artist and activist Salia Joseph.
Plus, a canape selection featuring the flavours of the land and sea, courtesy of Salmon and Bannock, Vancouver's only Indigenous owned and operated restaurant.
As our friends at Salmon and Bannock say, let's feed our spirits.
Taking place November 20th at the Annex, on the traditional, ancestral, and stolen territories of the xÊ·mÉθkÊ·Éy'Ém (Musqueam), Skwxwu7mesh (Squamish), and sÉl'ilw'ÉtaÊɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.
This event is part of the Imaginarium Concert Series of the 3rd annual IndieFest-a fiercely modern celebration of the performing arts and emerging technology, happening on Nov. 16 - 27, 2022.
